Stop the madness of racing thoughts! Imagine you’re picking a watermelon to cut up and bring to a friend who requested it.


What senses do you use?:

- See it - does it look like a good one?

- Touch it - is it heavy, meaning juicy?

- Hear it - knock on it - does it sound solid or flat/mush inside?

- Smell it - open and smell for sweetness

- Taste it - for its juiciness and flavor - and cut it up to bring.


Next time you have racing thoughts, think of a food you love to enjoy. Try your senses on it, and of course, every sense you use will be more than 100% of what you want. Smile, and mentally enjoy, and get back to it.
