This month’s challenge is about memory and how you can use pairing to create a memorable habit. We all have things we do every day that are automatic and almost subconscious. An example would be brushing our teeth. If you are trying to add a new healthy habit to your routine and are struggling to remember to do it, pair it to something you do without fail. If you want to meditate 5-minutes a day, improve your physical ability to balance, send a positive text to someone you care about, or list items in a gratitude journal, pair it. Brush your teeth, then sit down and meditate for 5-minutes. Or brush your teeth while you stand on one leg. Brush your teeth and then send the text, etc.
Your challenge is to identify a positive habit, pair it and then see how sticky it can be!
