What to Focus on in the New Year

One of the things I like to focus on in the new year is adding more of what motivates and inspires us—rather than only thinking about what we need to change or fix. A simple way I do this is by looking just six months ahead. I imagine June and ask myself: What would a perfect June look like?
Pull up a calendar—on your computer or printed out—and start creating a dream version of the month. Would you take a week-long vacation? How often would you work out? How many times would you see friends? What would your work hours look like? Write it all down as if it’s already real.
Once you’ve created your perfect June, compare it to January. Notice the gap. You might not be able to make the full leap right away, but you can start identifying what to eliminate and what to add.
That’s your challenge for January. If you want weekly challenges, let us know here.
